Xbox 360 and Motion Capture

Today we had an opportunity to relate our work to the Xbox 360 Kinect.
We played on three games including;

- Kinect Adventures, which is a game that uses full body movement to take part in a variety of mini-games, each gam lasts about 3 minutes and most are compatible for two players.

- Just Dance 3, this is a game for all the family, you can chose a song and then must copy the dance on screen to create the highest scores. It is really fun and is fun to play in groups.

-Zumba Fitness, this game enables fitness lovers to learn and enjoy Zumba at home, up beat music and energetic workouts are perfect. Training sessions and tutorials are available for people new to Zumba Fitness. It also teaches how to do dances such as the Rambo, Cumbia and Salsa!

Motion Capture;
motion capture is the term to describe the process of recording a movement and translating it onto a digital model. It is used for entertainment, military, sport and medical uses. It is used often in animated movies to imitate a humans movements. This has been used in such movies as: Avatar, A Christmas Carol and Monster House.

What is Kinect?
Kinect is a motion sensing device by microsoft which acts as a web-cam styled add-on that enables us to connect and interact with the Xbox without having to use a controller through using body gestures and spoken commands.

these are all of the image that i have uploaded onto final cut and will be using in my video. In order to view an image i will drag it into the first video box, if it is the correct image then i will place it onto the timeline for later use.

This is the final stage, here is were we can view the final product and decide if any changes need to be made such as timings.

2. Cambo camera stand
3. Soft box wafers / striplight wafer

6. Bowens 500w lighting
7. Canon 24-105mm zoom lens

Stop-Frame Task.

For this task we were put into groups of four and for the first time tried to create our own stop-frame motion videos. Each of the group had a chance to be behind the camera and infront of the camera, we used two techniques to create the videos, one of them being a continuos capture for fasting movements to be captured, the other was a normal capture to take slow, gradual actions. A total of four videos were created all of them being different, after that they were uploaded to Final Cut to create the final product. I found this a difficult task as i was new to using Final Cut and i still feel unsure about it.

T-SHIRT WAR 2!! (TV Commercial - Stop Motion)

this is my favourite stop-frame motion video because i think its fun and flows really well and its almost unnoticeable that it is a stop-frame video rather than an ordinary video. The bright colours and fun designs are fun and exciting to watch.
